Transcend Releases its High Capacity, 4GB 44-Pin Horizontal High Speed IFM (IDE Flash Module)

Transcend Information, Inc. (Transcend), a global leading company in flash memory products, is pleased to announce that it has increased the capacity of its existing 44-pin Horizontal High Speed IFM (IDE Flash Module) to an incredible 4GB, the highest capacity among other products worldwide. Certain types of computing devices, or specialist data devices use a 44-pin IDE interface for data transfers and storage. These types of computing equipment require the use of small form factor data retention and a very high quality type of memory card.

Transcend’s IDE Flash Memory Module is small in size, just 46.0mm x 28.0mm x 7.12mm and has strong data retention. The 44-pin IDE Flash Memory Modules is ideal for use in harsher more demanding industrial environments where PCs, Set-Top Boxes and other industrial machines are used. In addition, Transcend’s 32M and 64M IDE Flash Memory Modules have a useful write protect switch to ensure your data is kept secure. With built-in ECC (Error Code Correcting) functionality Transcend’s IFM ensures highly reliable data transfer.

Transcend insists on only using original SLC (Single-Level-Cell) NAND Flash chips in its IFM’s, which have higher write speeds, lower power consumption, and superior durability compared with IDE Flash Memory Modules made with MLC (Multi-Level-Cell) chips. Transcend’s 4GB IDE Flash Memory Modules are reliable, have hi-speed data transfer rates and are the perfect choice for use in your industrial machines.
